New luno® cookware line wins red dot award and KitchenInnovation Prize 2012

This has been an outstanding year for Fissler, and one in which its excellence has truly been recognized – literally. Within a short period of time, the cookware experts from Idar-Oberstein have been honored for their new luno® cookware line with both the coveted red dot award for design and the KitchenInnovation Prize for 2012.

Fissler was victorious in winning the red dot award with its new luno® cookware over the other entrants. The line convinced the 30-member international jury of experts with its innovative product design. It scored points with both its elegant black design and its intelligent features that ensure outstanding cooking results and enable a new kind of cooking: versatile, imaginative and sure to succeed. The various luno® products (pots and roasters in various sizes, saucepans, crêpe pan and wok) encourage the cook to be creative and to try out new recipes and techniques. Fissler’s great innovative expertise has now been especially recognized by the red dot seal of quality. In fact, this is the second award that has honored luno® this year. In February, this new line was also awarded the KitchenInnovation Prize® for the year 2012.

The red dot award has been presented annually since 1955. Manufacturers and designers of the most varied industrial products compete in a large spectrum of categories for the prestigious prize. In 2012, approximately 1,800 participants from 58 countries entered a total of 4,515 products to the competition.
Characteristics that are recognized by the KitchenInnovation Prize are functionality, product benefits, innovation and design. It was awarded for the sixth time in 2012. The submitted products are judged by both a jury of experts and consumers.
